Ghost Image

Matthew Hemminghaus  2013

"Ghost Image" actually turned out to be a happy accident.  At first I was disappointed by the blurred head, until I thought about the method in which chickens are usually butchered.  The "ghost" head alludes to the image of the chicken with it's head cut off, while the body is completely present.

All frames are hand built using reclaimed antique wood and non reflective Ultra View glass.  The mats are acid free 100% cotton rag and the images are printed using archival ink on Museo Silver Rag paper.
